The symbol for Indian currency has been introduced on 15 July 2010. This symbol has been designed by Mr. D. Uday Kumar.

After launching this currency symbol many keyboard manufacturing companies introduced special keyboards to type this symbol in any word processing application. But what about those who don't have such keyword and buying these special keyboard for only a symbol is not a right choice. So what to do? Just read this article for answer.

Step to Type Rupee Symbol:

• Step1. Download the Rupee Foradian Font (this is a win rar file). 
• Step 2. Install this font in your system ( copy the font and paste it in [window drive letter]:/windows/fonts ) 
• Step 3. After installing the font open MS word (or any other program to type this symbol) and type here "`" from your keyboard. [the key between the inverted comma is below the ESC key in your keyboard]

• Step 4. Now select the text " ` " and change the font to "Rupee Foradian". You have done.
