If you don't like Windows 8 charms bar and feeling the essence to get back to windows 7 classic Task bar then you have to make some changes in your system's registry file.
These changes will also revert Windows 8 Metro Interface, Windows Explorer, and Task Manager as in Windows 7.
Steps to follow:- Press Win+r, type regedit and hit Enter to open registry editor.
- In Registry editor Navigate to Explorer as shown below-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
- Now search for RPEnabled and double click on it.
- In the DWORD value window change the Data Value to 0 (Zero) and click OK.
- Now Restart your computer to see changes.
That’s it! You can also revert to new Windows 8 User Interface features by changing the data value to 1 in 4th step.
Note: Backup registry files before editing it. If something goes wrong it may crash your windows.
