Everyday, we need to burn some CD/DVD for installing some software applications. Now this task is made as easy as running a single command in Windows 7/8.
Windows7 and Window8 provides a free image burning utility called the Windows
Disc Image Burner that allows you to quickly write CD and DVD images. The
utility has a graphical interface but can be run from the command prompt by
passing the proper parameters.
Steps To start burning a CD or DVD ISO file:
- Press Win key+R to open Command prompt.
- Enter the following command.
- isoburn /q drive:\file.iso
- Where drive:\file.iso is the full path of your ISO image of the file.
- For example: isoburn /q d:\en_windows_7_ultimate.iso
- After entering this command just press Enter, and the Windows Disk Image burner will open.
- Click Burn, and your process will start.
Alternatively, you can also burn files by running Windows Disk Image Burner and then pass the ISO file location and click the
Burn button.
