SEO methods- White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO

In order to optimize a website for Search Engines, different techniques and tactics are considered. These techniques are basically divided into two categories- White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO. Different optimization process comes under these two categories.

White Hat SEO techniques are search engine friendly, that is, these techniques follow the W3C development and designing standards. While in case of Black Hat SEO- these consider optimization techniques which fails to follow design and development standards and also these techniques doesn't follow search engine's search standards.

• White Hat SEO: The optimization techniques which are considered as White Hat SEO must follow the below conditions-
• It must follow the search engine's guidelines, so that search engines considers them for crawling.
• The content of the website/webpage that a user will see must be the same which is crawled and indexed by the search engines.
• The webpage and content must be created for users or site visitors relevancy not for search engine's relevancy.
• Webpage and the Website must be of good quality.
• The content of the website must be useful for targeted users. It should be updated from time to time.
• Black Hat SEO: The optimization techniques which are considered as Black Hat SEO follow the below criteria-
• Creating low quality webpage which contains very less content and are instead stuffed with more keywords or targeted search terms. These type of pages are called Doorway pages.
• Repeating particular keywords in the Meta tags more than once, and using unrelated keywords  to the site's content. This technique is called Meta tag stuffing.
• Using Hidden or invisible text or the text with the page background color, or hiding the text within "no frame" sections. So that, only search engines can crawl these text but users can't see it. These text are used just for search engine's relevancy.
• Redirecting users to another webpage that was different from the page the search engine crawled and ranked.
• Creating Mirror web sites by hosting multiple web sites all with conceptually similar content but using different URLs.

Always try to use White Hat SEO techniques, because search engines can identify Black Hat SEO techniques and if one uses Black Hat SEO then the corresponding site will be down in search results ranking.
